It’s National Moving Month!
Woo-hoo! I love this business! What other industry dedicates a whole month to celebrating what we do? PRIDE. Gotta love it.

May is the start of the busiest moving season when home sales begin to rise. Not only is May National Moving Month, but 2021 is shaping up to be the National Moving Year! 56% of Americans plan to move this year, up from 35% in 2020. With more remote working, the economy shifting, and desire to relocate, more than one in five people have moved during the pandemic.

To celebrate National Moving Month, I went on the road to meet with one of our valued broker partners to hear about a recent win with a Mover’s Choice account. Thanks to Pattie Keys from Aegis General Insurance Company. We appreciate her taking the time to share this inside scoop:

“The past ten days of April 2021, just like every end-of-the-month, were hectic fighting off the competition on renewals. A competing broker was making a move for a valued account of Aegis and Mover’s Choice. The renewal quote released by Mover’s Choice needed to be revised to save the renewal. Underwriter Michelle Whitecotton went to bat for the insured and saved the account from being placed with a competitor. We value and appreciate Mover’s Choice’s successful efforts. Aegis looks forward to retaining all accounts and growing its volume with Paul Hanson and its markets!”

Thanks, Pattie for the glowing report and congratulations all around!

The Mover’s Choice team celebrates all of the hard-working insurance brokers and movers this month and throughout the entire year — we are proud to be a part of this vital industry

The Basics of Forklift Safety

Forklifts are valuable machines, but unsafe operating techniques can have detrimental effects to the operator itself, as well as, the machine. It is important for any person who will be operating a forklift to take forklift safety courses to ensure they can properly operate a forklift in a safe manner. In order to reduce injuries or cause damage to the machines every employee should know the basics of forklift safety. In doing so, it will help create a safer and more productive work environment.
