I’m Celebrating
Distracted Driving Awareness Month
with my Eyes Wide Open
and on the Road!

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and boy do we need it! 2020 saw an 8% increase in motor vehicle deaths, despite fewer vehicles on the road during the pandemic…What? Come on, we can all do better than that.

Driving distractions. Let’s discuss: talking and texting on a mobile phone, changing the radio station, reaching for a snack, adjusting your cap to keep the sun out of your eyes, watching the sights go by…all of those could take your attention off the road.

Did you know that it takes only 5 seconds for a vehicle to travel the length of a football field at 55 mph? (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)

Wow! Now imagine doing that with your eyes closed. That’s what happens with distracted driving. You’re driving blind for a touchdown. I’m pretty sure blind people can’t get driver’s licenses, so look sharp!

Don’t be blindsided by driving distracted! ‘JUST DRIVE’ & STAY ALIVE!

May is National Moving Month and I’m excited to be featuring one of our customers and what they’re doing differently this moving season, so stay tuned!

Happy Earth Day!

There are many regulations starting that are starting to be enforced to help reduce emissions. Take a look at what that mean for drivers now and what we are expecting to see as soon as next year.
